News June 19, 2006 Chemtec Receives UL142 Tank Certification Today, Chemtec Energy Services received UL142 certification to fabricate aboveground tanks for storing hazardous liquids. The UL142 standard covers steel atmospheric tanks intended for aboveground storage of flammable and combustible liquids. While Chemtec still plans to supply tanks through these reseller agreements, there are several advantages to Chemtec having its own UL142 certification. First and foremost, Chemtec customers will see quicker delivery times for the most common sized tanks. Gary Williams, Chemtec CEO, recently explained, "One of the biggest complaints we receive from our customers is with delivery times for UL142 tanks".
