Chemtec recently completed and shipped two loading rack skids for Magellan Midstream Partners at its Frost, Texas facility. The loading racks, along with the addition of 200,000 barrels of product storage, are part of a major upgrade to Magellan's Frost complex.

The loading racks were fabricated and assembled at Chemtec's production facility in Willis, Texas. The racks included structural framing a driver's kiosk, all piping, tubing, meters, valves, strainers, presets, a PLC, and additive/dye injection equipment. Furthermore, all electrical conduit and wiring was completed including point-to-point terminations.

Zane Bullock, who managed the project for Chemtec, was very pleased with the end result. "These skids are almost 70 feet long and 10 feet wide, so we couldn't wait to see them completely assembled. These skids are about as close to "plug-and-play" as you can get for this type of equipment. Once they arrive on site, it shouldn't take long to bring them online; all they need is power, communications wiring and product supply piping".

Chemtec Energy Services, Inc., headquartered in Willis, Texas, is a major manufacturer and world-wide supplier of specialty equipment for the petroleum terminaling industry and the petrochemical industry.
